The Walrus Cover
This cover is designed for the March-April edition of The Walrus. Highlighting an article focusing on the rise of corporate landlords in Canada. An illustration of a hand playing chess with houses and apartments has been developed to emphasize the amount of power the corporate landlords hold. A red, monochromatic colour scheme was chosen to add to the sense of fear. The illustration was designed with its purpose in mind, leaving space for important headlines and subhead copy to ensure an effective magazine cover layout.
